Learning Environment
We cultivate distinct, yet complementary, learning environments across our schools:
The Junior School
At The Junior School, we believe in child-centered learning that fosters a comprehensive range of skills, including coherent thinking, manipulative abilities, analytical reasoning, and strong mathematical and logical foundations. We nurture each child with compassion and patience, ensuring their time with us is productive, enjoyable, innovative, and enlightening. Our curriculum, developed in partnership with Burlington and Oxford, is specifically designed to build essential primary-level skills. The school is proudly recognized by the Tamil Nadu Nursery Primary Board.
The Little Kingdom Senior School
The Little Kingdom Senior School offers a thought-provoking and student-centered learning environment. We encourage students to think critically, express themselves through writing, and collaborate effectively both in groups and individually, igniting their natural curiosity. Our unique methodology aims to break down traditional examination barriers, empowering students to tackle challenges through in-depth thinking, constructive debate, critical analysis, lively discussion, and truly engaged learning.
Other Learning Techniques
We integrate a wide array of innovative learning techniques into our daily curriculum, from Nursery to Grade XII, to enrich every child’s schooling experience. These include:
Project-Based Learning
Expeditionary Learning
Inquiry-Based Learning
Self-Directed Learning
Cross-Curricular Learning
Outdoor Learning Activities
Field Visits
Culture and Citizenship Education
Social Development Goals
Through these approaches, students learn by applying knowledge and engaging with real-world experiences within their local context. This fosters stronger learning habits and cultivates a more independent approach to their studies.
Evaluation
Our comprehensive evaluation system tracks student progress at every level, ensuring a thorough understanding of their development.
Junior School Assessment (Nursery – Grade II)
At the junior level, we regularly conduct tests and various assessments to gauge knowledge acquisition within the classrooms. Monthly worksheets further help us understand each child’s learning capacity. Academic progress and involvement in school activities are recorded and shared with parents through a progress card issued once per term.
Comprehensive Reporting and External Partnerships
We’ve partnered with Edunext, to provide comprehensive reports on students’ academic skill, and physical development. For Grades 9 to 12, detailed assessments in collaboration with Deep Grade offer in-depth analysis of student performance in worksheets and Exams. All question papers are outsourced from experts in the field to enhance our student’s learning skills.
Senior School Assessment (Grade III – Grade XII)
For senior students, academic performance is evaluated through regular assessments, tests, and worksheets. From Grade 6 onwards, students complete three-unit tests and two main examinations during the academic year, in addition to their regular worksheets. Grades are awarded for students in Grades 3-8, while marks are allocated for students from Grade 9 onwards. Regular class tests and practical assessments are done for easy learning through Saathi, our assessment partner.
